One-Day Flea Market "ART BEAT FLEA-MARKET" Brings Art Community Sellers Together in Jimbocho, Tokyo on December 6

A flea market for people connected to the art world, "ART BEAT FLEA-MARKET" (short names: ABF / Ebifu), will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at New Gallery in Jimbocho, Tokyo. It is organized by Tokyo Art Beat, one of Japan's largest art media, and is the first flea market event since Tokyo Art Beat was founded.

A Relaxed Place for Art Lovers to Meet

Tokyo Art Beat has so far delivered information about exhibitions and art mainly online. For that reason, it wanted to create a place where it could casually meet and talk with the people who regularly enjoy Tokyo Art Beat, and that led to ART BEAT FLEA-MARKET.

Sellers who are involved in art in a variety of roles will take part. Personal belongings, ZINEs, used books, miscellaneous goods, original goods and secondhand clothing, each chosen from the seller's own point of view, will be on display. Getting a glimpse of each seller's interests, which do not show in their usual activities, is part of the fun of ABF.

Because it is a flea market, conversation comes naturally while looking at, picking up and buying items. The organizer hopes the event will be a place where sellers and visitors can chat casually and enjoy getting to know one another.

ART BEAT FLEA-MARKET Tokyo Art Beat staff items

In addition to the sellers above, Tokyo Art Beat staff will also bring personal belongings and set up a stall. The organizer hopes this will be a chance to see the staff's individuality, which does not come across in articles or services, so what they bring is something to look forward to. Original Tokyo Art Beat goods are also scheduled to be sold.

Tokyo Art Beat members who visit the venue are scheduled to receive free original goods. Details will be announced later on the Tokyo Art Beat news page and its official social media accounts.
