Asakusa Hanayashiki, Japan's oldest amusement park in Tokyo's Taito Ward, is extending its hours for 23 nights this summer with "Natsuyashiki no Yoru 2026," running from August 1 (Saturday) through August 23 (Sunday), 2026.
Responding to visitors who want to enjoy the park during cooler hours, Asakusa Hanayashiki is once again holding an extended-hours event this summer. Building on last year's well-received program held during the peak of the heat, the park is extending its usual 6:00 PM closing time to 9:00 PM this year, with the event period expanded by about a week to 23 days, giving visitors more chances to enjoy a cool night at the amusement park.
During the day, "Natsuyashiki 2026" offers cooling, water-based activities such as the Water Play Square, where visitors can get soaked and cool off. In the evening, the illuminated grounds take on a different atmosphere from daytime. An "After 5 Ticket," allowing entry from 5:00 PM, is also available — convenient for visitors stopping by after work or sightseeing. Whether spent in the daytime or unwinding in the cooler evening hours from 5:00 PM, the park offers a distinctly summer way to spend time.
During the event, a "Festival Plaza" will also open, gathering craft beers and snacks from around Japan. While children enjoy the rides, adults can experience a beer-garden atmosphere within the park grounds. At the new rooftop area "Hanasora Garden," visitors can relax while taking in the illuminated grounds and Asakusa's night skyline. Comedy performances and street shows also rotate daily, offering food, drink, and laughter for a special summer evening.

① Festival Plaza — Craft Beer and Festival Games
Eight kinds of craft beer from around Japan, along with drinks, edamame, sausages, and other food for both kids and adults, are available at the "Festival Plaza," alongside festival games such as ring toss and super ball scooping.
Food and drinks purchased here can be enjoyed anywhere in the park (except inside attractions), turning the entire grounds into an open, beer-garden-like space. Come enjoy a festival atmosphere in the cool evening air.
