(headquartered in Sapporo, Hokkaido; President Masahiro Ono), the company behind the desktop mascot platform Desktop Mate, which has surpassed 2 million cumulative downloads, is releasing a sister app: the digital calculator app Calculator - Desktop Mate Widgets. The app launches at 12:00 PM (JST) on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The Steam store page is already live, and the app can be added to Steam wish lists ahead of release. A Hatsune Miku DLC will launch at the same time.

Calculator - Desktop Mate Widgets is a digital calculator app that can be used together with a favorite character. It marks the first entry in the Widgets series, a sister line to Desktop Mate.
Each time a button is pressed, the character reacts with a cute animation, turning everyday calculations into a small daily moment with a favorite character. The app itself is free to download, and users can enjoy the calculator alongside Infinite Loop's official mascot character あいえるたん from the start.
The app supports Steam (Windows/Mac), App Store (iPhone/iPad/Mac), Google Play (Android), and Microsoft Store (Windows), making it available on a wide range of devices.
A Calculator That's Actually Fun — Packed with Features
Cute Character Reactions
Every time a number button is pressed, the character says the number aloud while striking a pose. Pressing "=" prompts the character to announce the result — though sometimes the calculation seems to leave them puzzled. Petting or poking the character's head also triggers its own cute reactions.
Designs Customized to Match Each Character
The calculator's buttons and background can be switched to designs that match each character's image. Multiple designs are available even for the same character, allowing users to coordinate the look to match their mood or the occasion.
Performance Mode
Pressing the musical-note button switches the app from calculator mode to performance mode. The character responds with its singing voice as the calculator keys are pressed. Holding the "+" or "−" button while playing allows the pitch to be raised or lowered by a semitone, and multiple keys can be pressed at the same time.
Special Answer Actions
When a calculation produces a specific result, the character responds with a special reaction. Certain numbers also trigger reactions unique to each character, so it can be fun to discover which numbers hold a hidden surprise.
Hatsune Miku DLC Launches at the Same Time
Alongside the launch, a DLC featuring the popular virtual singer Hatsune Miku will also become available. With voice lines newly recorded for Calculator - Desktop Mate Widgets, Hatsune Miku speaks the numbers aloud and strikes cute poses. The DLC includes four Miku-themed design options. In performance mode, Miku responds with her singing voice as the calculator keys are pressed. A special reaction may occur when the result reads "39."
Comes With あいえるたん From the Start
Downloading the app comes with Infinite Loop's official mascot character あいえるたん included, ready to use the calculator alongside from the start. The voice is provided by Milia, known as the CV for VOICEVOX.
