Elecom Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President and Executive Officer: Koichi Iwami) has newly released a "roll-up magnetic" USB Type-C (USB-C) cable series in three types with a total of 12 items. These cables use magnetic wire that allows them to coil up neatly for clean cable management and convenient storage.
USB Type-C Cable That Coils Up with Magnetic Force
The cable uses wire infused with magnets, which allows it to stick together magnetically and coil up neatly when rolled. During use, excess cable can be bundled together for clean cable management, and when not in use, the cable can be attached to steel desks or shelves to keep cable areas organized. Since it coils up neatly without tangling when not in use, it can be smartly stored in bag pockets and similar spaces. The cable supports USB Power Delivery (60W, 20V/3A) for charging computers and other devices, and also supports high-speed data transfer at up to 480Mbps (USB2.0). Three types are available: the "Mesh Type" with a durable nylon mesh outer layer, the "Flat and Mesh Type" featuring both thin flat cable and nylon mesh, and the "Silicone Type" with soft, smooth, tangle-resistant silicone outer layer. The product helps organize messy cable setups and coils up neatly when not in use.

Since the cable attaches to steel surfaces, it can be mounted on desks or shelves to keep desk areas tidy and allow for customized cable routing (*).

Supports USB Power Delivery Charging
This cable supports charging at up to 60W (20V/3A) via USB Power Delivery (*).
*To use USB Power Delivery, connected devices must support USB Power Delivery.
*When connected to USB Power Delivery compatible chargers and devices rated at 60W or higher, charging is possible but output is limited to a maximum of 60W.
*The power value supplied varies depending on the performance of the device being used.
