Kakomu de Kotatsu Returns to Harukas 300 — Oden and Hot Pot in a Kotatsu 300 Meters Above Osaka

The Harukas 300 observatory at Abeno Harukas will hold "Kakomu de Kotatsu" from October 29 (Thursday), 2026, to March 28 (Sunday), 2027. On the 58th-floor "Tenku Garden," guests can sit in a warm kotatsu while enjoying spectacular views along with oden and hot pot.

The event takes place in an open-air atrium space about 300 meters above ground, where guests gather around a kotatsu for an extraordinary experience of doing outdoors what they would normally do at home. Held every year since 2018 and drawing many visitors each time, it reaches its 9th edition this year.

This year's menu features the annual favorites "Kiwami Dashi Oden" and a shabu-shabu set with a choice of four soups. Newly added is a Japanese black wagyu ribeye sukiyaki set.

Reservations open at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, on the official Harukas 300 (observatory) website.

It is a chance to warm both body and mind with oden and hot pot in a kotatsu this winter.
