Tokyo-based CORTESE Corporation has given its original sake brand "HITEN-NYO" a full renewal, releasing two redesigned varieties: "HITEN-NYO Sweet Moon" and "HITEN-NYO Shining Mist."
HITEN-NYO was created to share the appeal of sake with a wider audience by working alongside small breweries. Its flavors are approachable for those who don't usually drink sake, and its artistic label design sets it apart from traditional sake packaging.
Since its 2023 debut, HITEN-NYO has drawn feedback from many customers and buyers. Taking that input to heart, the brand revisited its concept and rebuilt it around the theme "Tradition, with today's sensibility." The new HITEN-NYO keeps sake's traditions and culture at its core while fitting naturally into modern, everyday life.
Developed With a Small Brewery in Yamagata's Okitama Region
HITEN-NYO is an original brand co-developed with Nakaoki Shuzoten, a small brewery in the Okitama region of Yamagata Prefecture. By combining the brewery's dedication to regional sake-making with a contemporary sensibility, the brand aims to share new value from sake both in Japan and abroad.
A Sake for a Woman's Quiet Moment to Herself
HITEN-NYO was designed around the idea of a glass to slowly savor at the end of the day, in a moment that belongs only to you.
Its floral peach and muscat aromas, gentle sweetness, and light drinkability make it approachable even for those new to sake, with the aim of accompanying busy women during time set aside just for themselves.
HITEN-NYO Sweet Moon
Marked by a peach aroma, gentle sweetness, and a clean finish, Sweet Moon is a soft, dessert-like sake with 15% ABV.
HITEN-NYO Shining Mist
A sparkling sake with a clear, refreshing finish and a faint hint of muscat, Shining Mist also pairs well with meals. It has 9% ABV.
HITEN-NYO carries forward the traditions of sake while guiding them toward the future with a fresh sensibility. CORTESE plans to keep working with regional breweries to propose new ways of enjoying sake and to share the appeal of Japanese sake culture in Japan and overseas.
