Hokkaido Ramen Santouka Makes Its Nagasaki Prefecture Debut
Abu-Out Co., Ltd., which operates Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, is opening a new store at Nagasaki Stadium City. The Nagasaki Stadium City location will bring the authentic taste of Hokkaido to Nagasaki residents, offering not just ramen but also Hokkaido specialty items.
About the Nagasaki Stadium City Location
Nagasaki City, home to Nagasaki Stadium City, is an international port city with a population of approximately 380,000 that has long developed as Japan's gateway for overseas trade. The city is packed with historical, cultural, and tourism resources including beautiful port night views, streets with exotic charm, and food culture such as Nagasaki Champon, Sara Udon, and Castella cake.
The Nagasaki Stadium City location is situated within the Food Hall on the second floor of Nagasaki Stadium City, about a 10-minute walk from both JR Nagasaki Station and JR Urakami Station. Nagasaki Stadium City is a large-scale complex that opened in October 2024, featuring a soccer stadium, arena, hotels, commercial facilities, and offices. The soccer stadium "PEACE STADIUM Connected by SoftBank" serves as the home stadium for V-Varen Nagasaki, a professional soccer club that was promoted to J1 this year. The complex aims to become a hub for entertainment and daily life where people gather to watch sports, attend concerts, and enjoy shopping.

To offer more than just ramen dining, the store has prepared rice dishes not found at other Hokkaido Ramen Santouka locations.
Exclusive to the Nagasaki Stadium City location, three new items make their debut: "Niku Ankake Rice" (Meat Sauce Rice) featuring pork bone soy sauce flavors, "Tare Zangi Rice" showcasing authentic Hokkaido taste, and "Chicken Katsu White Curry Rice" with nine specially blended spices reminiscent of Santouka's signature white ramen soup.
Hokkaido specialty items include "French Fries" made with "Inca no Mezame" potatoes, "Coapp Guarana" drink, "Toukibi Ice Monaka" (Corn Ice Cream), and "Soft Katsugen" (playing on the word "katsu" meaning "win") available only on match days. Visitors can enjoy Santouka's carefully crafted ramen alongside Hokkaido delicacies right here in Nagasaki.
Features of Hokkaido Ramen Santouka
[Soup]: To achieve a gentle white soup, pork bones are simmered for approximately 17 hours, with vegetables and dried fish umami added at the end. The finished white soup is never reheated to preserve its flavor and aroma. While it may not feel piping hot, this temperature is what Santouka believes allows everyone from children to seniors to enjoy the soup most deliciously and safely.
[Noodles]: After years of refinement with the desire to create "noodles that firmly cling to the pork bone soup while allowing you to taste the wheat flavor," they use medium-thin curly noodles with low water content.
[Char Siu]: Using only the most balanced parts of red meat and fat from pork, they maximize the ingredient's natural deliciousness to create char siu that delivers "the true flavor of meat."
[Special Toro Niku Ramen]: Features precious pork cheek meat, with only 200-300g obtainable from one pig. The separately served char siu is placed on plain ramen. The soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture is particularly popular.
