Kabaya Foods' beloved toy candy brand Hone Hone Zaurus is getting its first official YouTube channel, set to open on April 30 (Thursday) at 8:00 PM.
Hone Hone Zaurus is celebrating its 25th year this year. The brand is built around dinosaur skeleton-themed plastic model kits bundled with chewing gum, and has long been a staple at supermarkets and drug stores across Japan. One of its standout features is a universal joint system that lets fans mix, match, and combine parts from any series — or attach special accessory parts — to create entirely new dinosaur forms. This combination-based play has made the brand especially popular among elementary school-age boys.
Alongside the YouTube channel launch, a special exhibition tracing the brand's 25-year history — "Hone Hone Zaurus World at Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum" — is running through May 24 (Sunday).
