Hotel New Otani Makuhari's beloved outdoor pool, Shell Pool, is set to open for the 2026 summer season from July 18 (Sat) to September 22 (Tue, public holiday). Ahead of the opening, reservations and the sale of a special Pass Card for unlimited day pool access will begin on June 1 (Mon).
Located just about 30 minutes from central Tokyo, this shell-shaped pool surrounded by swaying palm trees and lush greenery delivers a tropical resort atmosphere without the long journey.
Reservations & Pass Card Sales Open June 1
Tokyo saw its first scorching day of the year on May 17 this year — slightly earlier than last year — and another hot summer is already on the horizon. Shell Pool's advance reservations open on June 1, giving guests an early chance to secure their summer plans.
At the same time, a Pass Card for the day pool will go on sale, ideal for those who want to visit more than once during the season. The card can be purchased at the hotel front desk until July 17, and at the Shell Pool reception from July 18 onward. Cardholders will receive their physical Pass Card upon their first visit to the pool.

- Price: Adult ¥60,000 / Child ¥30,000
