Huis Ten Bosch, the theme park resort in Nagasaki Prefecture, is holding its summer event "RIDE ON SUMMER '26" from July 17 (Friday) through September 13 (Sunday), 2026.
The season brings together several major attractions: the "Evangelion The Ride - 8K -" opening on April 24, the world's only Miffy-themed area "Miffy Wonder Square," and a newly introduced European resort pool zone. Here is a look at the five main highlights of this year's summer lineup.
1. Neon Genesis Evangelion Ride - 8K - and Eva Experiences
Opening on April 24 (Friday), "Evangelion The Ride - 8K -" is Japan's first ride attraction themed around Neon Genesis Evangelion to use 8K imagery. Set within the "Intercept Fortress City Huis Ten Bosch" concept, the attraction projects battles between Angels and Evangelion units onto a massive 8K LED dome-shaped screen. Visitors experience the scenes with sensations of floating, acceleration, and impact, as if they were actually there.
In addition to the ride, the park offers a rally attraction that spans the entire grounds, a light-and-spectacle entertainment show, as well as Evangelion-themed food and merchandise.

2. Miffy Wonder Square
"Miffy Wonder Square," the world's only area dedicated to Miffy with its own rides and attractions, opened on Miffy's birthday in 2025. During the summer period of that year (June 21 through August 31, 2025), the number of female visitors in their 20s and 30s increased by 40% year-on-year. The area continues to add seasonal goods, food, and new experiences, including "Miffy's Dream Storybook," a ride attraction, and Miffy greeting sessions.

3. New Resort Pool Area: European Aqua Lagoon
A new pool area called "European Aqua Lagoon" is being added to the park's Summer Zone. Inspired by a beach resort with a blue sea and white sandy beach image, the area is designed for relaxation, and also features a poolside bar offering food and drinks. The existing Water Garden, which includes the approximately 50-meter Grand Summer Pool and a mega-slider, will also remain available.
4. Fireworks Entertainment Show
The popular summer fireworks event returns, held across 18 dates as a fireworks entertainment show:

5. Sunflower Celebration
Sunflowers will be on display throughout the park during the summer season. On Flower Road, one of the main spots in the park, windmills and sunflowers combine in a view only available in summer.
