About Chiikawa
Chiikawa is a manga series by illustrator Nagano, originally launched on X (formerly Twitter). The story follows Chiikawa, their friend Hachiware, Usagi, and a cast of distinctive characters through days that are cheerful, bittersweet, and occasionally challenging.
The franchise has expanded widely, encompassing merchandise, collaboration cafes, and corporate tie-ins. Kodansha has published eight volumes of the book series "Chiikawa: Nanka Chiisaku te Kawaii Yatsu." A TV anime has been airing since April 2022 on Mezamashi TV (Fuji TV network), and a feature film, "Chiikawa: Ningyo no Shima no Himitsu" (Chiikawa: The Secret of Mermaid Island), is scheduled for release in summer 2026.
