Lisa Larson

Born September 9, 1931, in southern Sweden. After studying at Gothenburg University's School of Design and Crafts, she joined Gustavsberg at the invitation of Stig Lindberg, the company's art director. She became a central designer supporting the company's golden age. In 1952, she married painter Gunnar Larson. She became freelance in 1980 and has worked with numerous clients since. Collaboration with Tonkachi Co., Ltd. (Japan) began in the 2000s, triggering a worldwide resurgence. In 2022, she was awarded a medal by the Swedish government for her many years of outstanding work that renewed and enriched Swedish arts and crafts. She passed away on March 11, 2024.
