CRAZY BUMP Co., Ltd., which organizes exhibitions themed around subculture including manga, anime, and special effects, announces the opening of "Licca-chan POP-UP STORE Retro Party" at Hands Shibuya Store B2C floor starting January 23, 2026 (Friday).
A Nostalgic Celebration of Retro Licca-chan
Since her debut in 1967, Licca-chan has embodied dreams and aspirations while reflecting the trends of each era. Today, she is loved not only by young children but also by adults who grew up with her. This is Licca-chan's first pop-up shop aimed at an adult audience, titled "Licca-chan POP-UP STORE Retro Party," featuring merchandise based on "Retro Licca," a reproduction of the original 1967 doll.
The event runs from January 23 to February 22, 2026, at Hands Shibuya Store B2C floor.
POP-UP STORE Highlights
The store features merchandise with designs directly inspired by the "Retro Licca" doll, along with original illustrations created specifically for this event by illustrator Jun Suzuki (@tofuboyrecords), who has deep admiration for manga, anime, and printed materials from the analog era. His work perfectly balances nostalgia with contemporary style.
Beyond merchandise sales, the event includes sales of Licca-chan collaborations with popular characters and brands, displays of the Retro Licca that inspired the merchandise designs, and a photo spot where visitors can pose inside a reproduction of the original Licca-chan package, creating an immersive retro Licca-chan experience.
