A pop-up store called "Picture Book Cookie Tin Selection by Cake.jp" is opening at Lumine Street inside Lumine Yurakucho for a limited run of 181 days, from April 3 (Friday) through September 30 (Wednesday), 2026. The shop offers original cookie tins created in collaboration with popular picture books through Cake.jp, the online sweets delivery platform.
This is the first time the pop-up has come to Lumine Yurakucho. The concept has previously been held at JR Tokyo Station's GranSta Tokyo and more than 50 other venues across Japan, drawing large crowds at each stop.
A lineup of 17 different picture book collaboration cookie tins is available, featuring titles beloved by a wide range of generations — among them The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Paddington, Thomas the Tank Engine, Lisa and Gaspard, Nontan, Shinapushu, You Look Delicious!, Who's Not Sleeping?, The Stray Cats Army (Noraneko Gundan), Panda Sento, The Bears' School (Kuma no Gakko), Kon and Aki, and It Might Be an Apple (Ringo Kamoshirenai).
The cookie tins are one of Cake.jp's most popular product categories — each one recreates the whimsical world of its source picture book in sweet form. The cookies inside are made without wheat, eggs, or dairy. Once the cookies are finished, the decorative tins can be reused as a small storage container, making them a charming gift that lingers as a keepsake.
They are well suited as a souvenir or celebratory present.
