Machida Yakushiike Park Shikisai no Mori is hosting the "Machida Yakushiike Park Shikisai no Mori Spring Fair 2026 – Heralds of Flowers" from Friday, April 10 through Wednesday, May 6 (substitute holiday).

Held in conjunction with the annual Peony and Chinese Herbaceous Peony Festival, the event spans all nine facilities in the Shikisai no Mori area — including Yakushiike Pond — with a wide range of activities and exhibitions. Peonies and rapeseed flowers are in full bloom, and the fresh green scenery of the park makes for a perfect spring outing.

Furusato Farm Tools Museum Oil is pressed from rapeseed grown in the Shichikokuyama district of Notsuta-cho. The oil is sold at ¥700 per 255g bottle.

Yakushiike Park and surrounding area A guided walk connecting "Kozanyakugon-in" temple at the foot of FC Machida Zelvia's home stadium with "Fukuoji Yakushido" temple adjacent to Yakushiike Park, along a route known as the "Happiness Road." A resident priest serves as guide. (Advance registration required / paid)

Machida Yakushiike Park Shikisai no Mori is the collective name for the area encompassing Yakushiike Pond and its surrounding facilities, rich in natural scenery, history, and culture.
