Ito Seika Co., Ltd. is expanding its long-running Mr. Ito cookie lineup with the addition of the 9-Piece Langues de Chat, arriving in stores across Japan on March 2, 2026.
The new cookies offer the delicate buttery flavor and light, crispy texture that langues de chat are known for. Each piece is finished with a scattering of coarse sugar crystals (zarame), adding a pleasant crunch and an extra layer of sweetness.
Langues de chat — French for "cat's tongue" — are thin, lightly baked cookies with origins in France. Their name comes from their slender, elongated shape, and they are widely recognized for their airy, melt-in-the-mouth quality.
