The TV anime Mononoke first aired in July 2007, drawing attention with its stylish character designs and innovative visuals that blended Japanese washi paper textures with CG processing. The story continued on the big screen with the theatrical trilogy: Chapter 1, Mononoke the Movie: Karakasa, released in July 2024; Chapter 2, Mononoke the Movie: Fire Mouse, in March 2025; and Chapter 3, Mononoke the Movie: Snake God, on May 29, 2026.
A new product inspired by all three films has now arrived.
Steel Andon Lantern Inspired by the Trilogy
A steel andon lantern celebrating the Mononoke the Movie theatrical trilogy is available for pre-order. Designed with the image of a three-pillar torii (mihashira torii), the lantern's three sides each feature a cutout-style design based on the fusuma (sliding door) paintings from a different chapter of the trilogy. The soft, gentle glow of the light brings each chapter's imagery and memories to life.
