Nadaman Offers Two Respect for the Aged Day Bento Sets — Frozen "Keiju" for Distant Loved Ones and Festive "Kotobuki no Zen"

Nadaman Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo; President Kazuki Muroya) is offering two bentos for Respect for the Aged Day. The delivery-only "Keiju" is available through Nadaman's online store, while "Kotobuki no Zen" is sold at Nadaman shop locations and through the mail-order site "Obento Haitatsu." Both are Japanese-style bentos meant to add a festive touch to a family celebration of longevity at home, making them fitting gifts for a loved one as a token of everyday gratitude.

Online Store (Delivery Only) — Respect for the Aged Day Bento "Keiju"

The gift bento "Keiju" is available for reservation from Nadaman's online store (delivery only), with reservations open since late July.

The lineup includes longtime favorites such as grilled flounder in Saikyo miso and chicken in miso, along with the fragrant matsutake rice that returns each year to popular demand. This year adds a soft and juicy hand-formed chicken hamburger steak, plus a ginger-sauce simmered dish of taro, yuba, and eggplant. Because the bento is delivered frozen, it can be enjoyed at any time with just a quick reheat in the microwave. Since no open flame is needed to prepare it, it makes a safe, convenient gift for an elderly relative living alone or a loved one living far away, carrying a wish for their continued good health.

Limited-Time Sale — Respect for the Aged Day "Kotobuki no Zen"

"Kotobuki no Zen" will be sold for four days, from September 18 (Friday) through September 21 (Monday, holiday), at all 44 Nadaman shop locations nationwide and through the mail-order site "Obento Haitatsu."

Alongside long-loved favorites such as beef sukiyaki in a signature sweet-savory sauce and dashi-simmered vegetables, this year's set adds two kinds of rice: colorful chirashizushi and autumn's matsutake rice. To let older guests enjoy a variety of flavors in modest portions through to the last bite, the two rice dishes together are served in a smaller 130g portion. A refreshingly fragrant yuzu-grilled herring rounds out the set with a balanced mix of flavors from the mountains and sea, and a matcha pudding with red bean rounds off the meal as a well-loved dessert. It is a festive bento designed to bring color to the table for a Respect for the Aged Day celebration.
