NARUMIYA HAPPY PARK, a flagship store for NARUMIYA CHARACTERS, opens on Tuesday, November 24, 2026, on the 12th floor of LUCUA SOUTH, the new building of LUCUA osaka directly connected to JR Osaka Station. Located within the "LUCUA Characters World" zone, it is the first permanent NARUMIYA CHARACTERS store in western Japan, where visitors can experience the world of the characters.
LUCUA SOUTH opened its first phase on April 5, 2026. Its second phase begins on November 24, 2026, with the "LUCUA Characters World" character zone centered on the 10th to 13th floors. When the building fully opens in 2027, more than 44 stores are expected to gather there, making it one of the largest character areas in Japan.
A Permanent Flagship Store in Western Japan, Opened at Fans' Request
NARUMIYA CHARACTERS centers on characters loved by children of the Heisei era (1989–2019), including Nakamura-kun and Berrie-chan. In recent years the characters have drawn renewed attention, mainly on social media, and have expanded their fan base through pop-up shops and collaboration projects.
A pop-up shop held at LUCUA osaka in autumn 2025 drew many visitors and was well received, and many people asked for a permanent store in the Kansai region. The new store responds to those requests.
Concept: "A Toy Shop in a Dream"
The concept of the LUCUA SOUTH store is "a toy shop in a dream" (夢の中のおもちゃ屋さん). Based on NARUMIYA CHARACTERS' signature pink and blue, the space has a nostalgic, heart-fluttering atmosphere with touches of Heisei culture, and is designed to be enjoyed by both children and adults.
Fans of NARUMIYA CHARACTERS now include not only adults who grew up in the Heisei era but also their children, and more customers are visiting as parents and children together.
Inside the store, a dresser space recreates the look of the "Cosmetic Parlor" (コスメティックパーラー), which was popular with many fans in the early 2000s. Visitors can enjoy it while recalling the excitement of those days, and share that feeling with their own children. The store aims to be both a place to enjoy nostalgia and a place for experiences that can be passed on to the next generation.
New Character ワンピーちゃん Debuts in Kansai
The LUCUA SOUTH store is the first to feature ワンピーちゃん, a new NARUMIYA CHARACTERS character.

Besides reviving popular characters born in the Heisei era, NARUMIYA CHARACTERS is also developing and nurturing new characters to attract the next generation of fans. ミミリーちゃん, who debuted in 2025, has gained top-class popularity at the flagship store in Lumine Est Shinjuku and is supported by younger fans as well as existing ones. リパンちゃん, who debuted recently, has also made a good start and is widening the circle of fans. ワンピーちゃん, who debuts in Kansai with this store, is another character in this new-generation lineup.
By carrying on the nostalgia of Heisei culture while adding Reiwa-era (2019 onward) sensibilities through new characters, NARUMIYA CHARACTERS aims to create content that is loved across generations.
