Oriental Hotels & Resorts announces a collaborative "Okinawa × Fukuoka Yuimaru Project Phase 4" featuring three unique "edible drinks" served at three hotels in Okinawa and Fukuoka from February 1 to May 31, 2026. The project name "Yuimaru" comes from an Okinawan dialect word meaning "helping each other," "working together," and "let's do our best together," reflecting the hotels' commitment to promoting both regions.
For Phase 4, the hotels developed innovative beverages that deliver "more than a drink, less than a meal" satisfaction, offering guests a new source of enjoyment during their stay. Each creation features striking visuals and surprising flavors. All three drinks will be served simultaneously at participating locations in both Okinawa and Fukuoka.
Three "Edible Drink" Varieties
1. Okinawa Jimami Soy Latte / Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa
Silky jimami tofu meets soy milk to create this rich, healthy soy latte. The sweet-salty mousse and aromatic peanut flavors blend with the warming notes of brown sugar and ginger, gently soothing travel fatigue.
2. RYUKYU Botachino / Okinawa Harbor View Hotel
A soup-like creation based on "miki," a traditional Okinawan rice drink, combined with homemade goya juice. The deep umami of white dashi and the mellow sweetness of brown sugar gently embrace the characteristic bitterness of goya. The aromatic island pepper "pipattsu" adds a floral accent to this profound beverage.
3. Hakata Mentaiko Latte (with Baguette Set) / Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station
Experience "drinkable mentaiko" in this new creation. The rich umami and texture of Hakata's soul food, mentaiko, are enveloped in a mellow blend of white miso and butter. This rich, creamy latte is truly "drinkable gourmet." Dip the crispy baguette and savor the deep harmony to your heart's content.
