StyLe Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; CEO: Eisuke Ishikawa), which holds "increasing the number of people who enjoy dining" as its management philosophy, is opening an annex of its popular Tenmonkan izakaya "Oshushi" near Kagoshima Chuo Station on Monday, September 21, 2026.
Oshushi opened in 2017 out of a desire to bring sake culture to Kagoshima, a prefecture known for shochu. At the time, a "sake izakaya" was a rarity in Kagoshima, and the restaurant drew attention from the start, quickly becoming a popular spot with local customers filling it night after night. Today it also draws many tourists, including visitors from overseas.
The restaurant holds a Tabelog review score of 3.56 and has earned a 4.2 rating on Google Maps across 496 reviews (both as of September 18, 2026).
Introducing Oshushi Hanare
The newly opening Oshushi Hanare carries on the concept of the Tenmonkan flagship store, Oshushi.

The interior features an upscale Japanese-style setting, with counter seats wrapped around the kitchen and tatami seating that looks out onto an irori hearth where ingredients are grilled, creating a space for savoring sake and food to the fullest.
Many of Oshushi's popular dishes are also on the menu, including "genshi-yaki," slowly grilled over the irori, and "oden" infused with bonito dashi. The restaurant welcomes guests of all ages for any occasion.
The Oshushi Hanare Menu

Seasonal fish grilled over the irori is slowly cooked with the far-infrared heat of charcoal, giving it a fragrant, crisp exterior and a fluffy interior.
Adjusting the heat to suit each ingredient locks in the richness of the fat and the moisture of the flesh, bringing out the ingredient's original flavor.

The oden, simmered in a bonito dashi that pairs perfectly with sake, is one of Oshushi's most popular dishes. Guests can also enjoy "dashi-wari," pouring sake into the oden's dashi.

To finish the meal, takikomi gohan cooked in a clay pot is also available.
Among them, the "salmon and salmon roe takikomi gohan" is the most popular, letting guests fully enjoy the flavor of the rice fresh out of the pot.
Oshushi Hanare also offers a number of original menu items that differ from those at the Tenmonkan store, Oshushi. Guests who have visited Oshushi before are invited to stop by as well.
Aiming to Be a Restaurant Rooted in Kagoshima

The goal is to be a restaurant that the people of Kagoshima will love for a long time to come.
Whether for a drink after work, a family dinner, or a couple's date, the restaurant aims to serve every occasion as an establishment rooted in the local community, promising flavors and dining experiences that guests will want to talk about.
