Nihonbashi and Yaesu are getting a Pokémon takeover this fall. From Wednesday, September 9 to Sunday, November 29, 2026, "Meet the Legendary Pokémon: Legend Research in Nihonbashi & Yaesu" brings more than 100 Pokémon out into the streets of the two neighborhoods, and voucher sales for a companion mystery-solving walk begin on Tuesday, August 4.
Over 100 Pokémon, Including 19 Statues, Appear Around the Neighborhood
Nineteen Pokémon, including several legendary Pokémon, appear as statues at Mitsui Fudosan Group-managed facilities such as Nihonbashi Mitsui Tower, COREDO Muromachi Terrace, and Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, while more than 100 Pokémon in total show up inside and around the buildings throughout the area. The Pokémon that appear around town can be viewed by anyone free of charge, so simply walking through the neighborhood is enough to enjoy encountering them.
A Mystery-Solving Walk Created by Ryogo Matsumaru's RIDDLER
As a paid activity, visitors can also take on "Pokémon Legend Research: Awaken the Legendary Research Report," a mystery-solving walk that has participants search for Pokémon around town while piecing together clues hidden at various spots. Those who purchase a kit voucher pick up a dedicated kit and explore Nihonbashi and Yaesu, researching the legendary Pokémon that have appeared throughout the area. The walk was created by RIDDLER, a mystery-solving creator collective led by Ryogo Matsumaru, who is also known as a big Pokémon fan.
The story begins with an old Pokédex and a mysterious file found around town. The file contains ciphers related to each legendary Pokémon, and participants use the Pokémon statues and displays scattered around the neighborhood as clues to solve them. It's designed to be enjoyable for first-time puzzle solvers as well as longtime fans, from kids to adults.
Mystery-Solving Kit Contents: clear file bag, mystery file, sticker sheet, adventurer's letter, someone's report, writing utensils, and an adventurer's guide

Comment from Ryogo Matsumaru
"I feel truly honored, and happier than I can say, to create a mystery-solving experience built around the world of Pokémon, which I love so much. I packed in as much Pokémon passion as I could and drew on 30 years of Pokémon history and memories to make what I believe is the best mystery-solving experience yet. There are plenty of hints available, so please don't worry if this is your first time trying a mystery-solving walk. A great mystery involving the legendary Pokémon awaits you all!"

About Nihonbashi and Yaesu
Nihonbashi and Yaesu have drawn people, culture, and goods from across Japan since the Edo period. Today the two neighborhoods combine a historic streetscape with cutting-edge urban facilities, making them one of Tokyo's most-visited areas. With so many spots packed into the neighborhood, there's something new to discover with every walk, which is part of why the area was chosen as the stage for this Pokémon-hunting event.
Pokémon's 30th Anniversary
Pokémon, short for Pocket Monsters, are mysterious creatures with countless secrets. More than 1,000 species have been discovered so far, each with its own distinct personality. The franchise marked its 30th anniversary from the release of "Pocket Monsters Red and Green" on Tuesday, February 27, 1996. Combining the collecting element of catching and raising Pokémon with the communication element of trading and battling with friends, Pokémon has expanded across TV anime, films, apps, and merchandise to build a global fan base.
