Guided Hiking Tour "Ryugatake THE HIKE" Set for June 5 on One of the Suzuka Seven Mountains

A guided hiking tour called "Ryugatake THE HIKE" is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026, at Mt. Ryugatake (1,099m), one of the Suzuka Seven Mountains straddling Komono Town and Inabe City in Mie Prefecture.

The tour is designed for those with limited hiking experience or those who have been looking to take on the Suzuka Seven Mountains, with a specialist guide on hand to explain the local history and natural features of the area along the way.

The route departs from Ishigure Pass, heads to the summit, and descends via the Ensoku Ridge, known for its clusters of azaleas — a varied course covering approximately 6 to 7 hours in total. The event is a collaborative effort between the two municipalities to share safe ways to enjoy the mountains and promote sustainable mountain tourism.

  • Water bottle and portable snacks (essential given the length of the activity)
