The reading drama "The Bottled Sea Sang Ryuztan’s Dream in the Bedroom," performed every year since 2023 and well received by audiences, returns for 2026 with performances at TODA HALL from September 25 (Friday) to September 27 (Sunday).

About the Production
The work is an original piece by Takuma Suehara, artistic director of the theater company Obonro. It premiered in 2021 as an Obonro main production, was restaged in August 2022, and was later published as a book by Kodansha. Since 2023 it has been performed as a reading drama, and in 2025 it played its largest venue yet, Hulic Hall Tokyo. Each year the piece evolves further as a reading drama built around memories of summer vacation.
Affectionately known as "Rodoku Ryuztan" (Reading Ryuztan), the production has moved audiences time and again through performances by a voice actor cast. This year, alongside a lineup of acclaimed voice actors, a newly added "Actor Performance" featuring accomplished stage and screen actors has been confirmed.
Though the story and the words remain the same, the world of Ryuztan takes on a different expression depending on who performs it. Audiences can experience a new side of Ryuztan shaped by the distinct interpretations of the voice actor cast and the actor cast.
After-talk sessions featuring script and direction credit Takuma Suehara together with the cast are also planned following the performances.
