Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill Celebrates Clark Statue's 50th Anniversary with Autumn Flavor Festival 2026 (September 18–23)

Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill is holding its Autumn Flavor Festival 2026 from September 18 (Fri) to September 23 (Wed, holiday). Fresh Pacific saury sent directly from Nemuro will be given away free and sold freshly grilled, alongside grilled scallops from Tokoro in Kitami City. Everyone is invited to stop by.

Fresh From Nemuro! Free and Paid Grilled Pacific Saury

Date: September 18 (Fri) to September 23 (Wed, holiday)

Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (sales start at 11:00 AM)

Price: ¥500 per fish (tax included)

Fresh Pacific saury sent directly from Nemuro, one of Hokkaido's leading saury-landing ports, will be grilled on-site and sold. In season now, the fish carries plenty of fat, filling the mouth with rich flavor and aroma — a taste that represents Hokkaido's autumn.

To let even more visitors enjoy the seasonal flavor, 200 servings of grilled saury (100 in the morning, 100 in the afternoon) will be given away free each day of the event. Numbered tickets for the free saury are handed out each day starting at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, to the first 100 people in line each time.

Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Fresh scallops from Tokoro in Kitami City are grilled on the spot and sold. The savory aroma that rises as they cook, and the concentrated sweetness of the scallop itself, make them a standout dish at the Autumn Flavor Festival.
