Two new ice creams built around the flavors of autumn are coming to Seven-Eleven stores nationwide, each in limited quantities. The Seven Premium Waffle Cone "Sweet Potato Brulee" (蜜芋ブリュレ), centered on the taste of honeyed sweet potato, launches September 8 (Tuesday), followed on September 15 (Tuesday) by the Seven Premium Ginza Sembikiya "Mont Blanc with Japanese Chestnuts Ice Bar" (まるで和栗モンブラン), co-developed with Ginza Sembikiya.
The lineup is a lavish take on two quintessential autumn ingredients, sweet potato and chestnut, expressed through ice cream. The waffle cone delivers the dense, mellow richness of honeyed sweet potato, while the chestnut bar's fragrant aroma and creamy melt aim to recreate the luxurious taste of a genuine mont blanc dessert — a small seasonal indulgence for everyday life.

Beniharuka Sweet Potato Paste and Two Sauces

The sweet potato ice cream is made with a paste of Beniharuka, a sweet potato variety known for its dense, sticky texture. Two sauces are layered in — a Beniharuka sauce on the outside and a caramel sauce on the inside — recreating the toasty aroma of a honeyed sweet potato brulee.
A Deep Richness from Fermented Butter, with a Hint of Salt
Fermented butter gives the ice cream a smooth richness and flavor from the very first bite. Despite its rich taste, a hint of salt ties the aftertaste together, keeping the overall balance from feeling too heavy. The result lets the natural flavor of sweet potato come through, enjoyable to the very last bite.

100% Domestic Japanese Chestnuts

This ice bar was jointly developed with the upscale patisserie Ginza Sembikiya. The chestnuts used are 100% domestically grown Japanese chestnuts (waguri). Three chestnut pastes with different textures are blended together, with a subtle hint of rum bringing out a rich aroma and refined sweetness.
A Two-Layer Bar Combining Contrasting Textures
The bar is made of two layers: a dense, sticky chestnut ice cream and a creamy, whipped-cream-style ice cream. With the first bite, the chestnut ice cream releases a rich chestnut aroma and refined sweetness, while the whipped-cream-style layer has a smooth texture, as if the whipped cream from a mont blanc dessert had been frozen just as it is. Thanks to this original method, it offers a luxurious texture just like a genuine Japanese chestnut mont blanc.
