Suntory's -196 Sugar-Free Double Pineapple canned cocktail is coming back as a limited edition nationwide release, hitting shelves on August 4, 2026.
The -196 brand has been a long-seller since its 2005 debut, built around Suntory's proprietary "-196°C Process." The -196 Sugar-Free series within that lineup has gained a loyal following for delivering the natural taste of real fruit alongside a crisp, clean finish.
The Double Pineapple flavor proved popular when it launched last year, and this limited re-release aims to bring it to an even wider audience. The drink combines pineapple-infused spirits prepared via the -196°C Process with real pineapple juice, producing a juicy pineapple taste with the refreshing aftertaste the sugar-free range is known for.
The can design draws its color palette from the fruit itself. A large illustration of pineapple appears prominently at the top of the can alongside "Sugar-Free" text to highlight its character, while an icon reading "Uses 100% pineapple fruit infusion*" points to the brand's attention to its production method.
