Kinmugi's First Limited Edition Since Becoming a Beer, Kinmugi Goyururi, Launches December 8

Suntory's Kinmugi brand is adding a limited-edition beer, Kinmugi Goyururi (金麦〈ごゆるり〉), to its lineup. It goes on sale nationwide in limited quantities on Tuesday, December 8, 2026. Made to be enjoyed while unwinding at home during the busy year-end and New Year season, it is the first limited-edition product since Kinmugi became a beer.

Background: Kinmugi Becomes a Beer

The Kinmugi brand aims to be "the beer-type beverage best suited for everyday drinking at home." It has won the support of many drinkers through a flavor focused on the umami of malt, and through communication that stays close to the "happy family dinner table" of each era.

With the October liquor tax reform, the tax rates on beer and happoshu were unified. Aiming to create a "daily beer" market, Suntory switched Kinmugi, Kinmugi 75% Sugar Off, and Kinmugi Hojun (金麦 豊潤) from the new-genre method (happoshu ②) to the beer method and released them as new products (see News Release No. 15085).

As of Tuesday, October 13, one week after launch, shipments of the beer versions of Kinmugi and Kinmugi 75% Sugar Off topped approximately 2 million cases (converted on the basis of 633ml × 20 units), about 30% of the annual plan. "75% Sugar Off" is relative to standard Kinmugi.

About Kinmugi Goyururi

Kinmugi Goyururi is a limited release meant to be enjoyed while relaxing at home during the hectic year-end and New Year period, with the aim of expanding the brand's fan base further.

The beer: It uses the brand's signature luxurious malt together with several types of hops. The result is a sweet, gentle aroma and a malt umami that swells in layers.

The package: The word "Goyururi" and a cloud-inspired design express the comfort of relaxing slowly. A yellow and orange color scheme expresses the character of the beer inside.
