The in-station shops at Takanawa Gateway Station reach their first anniversary on March 27, 2026 (Friday). To commemorate the occasion, a variety of events are being held — from special menus featuring "Takanawa Honey" harvested entirely within the Takanawa area, to pop-up appearances by popular local bakeries at the event space "Machiai." On March 28 (Saturday), TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY is also set to hold its grand opening, making this spring a perfect time to visit the station for exceptional food and drink.
Limited Menus Using Takanawa Honey
What Is Takanawa Honey?

Takanawa Honey is a 100% locally sourced honey harvested right in the Takanawa neighborhood. It was born from a beekeeping initiative started by the Takanawa Gateway Area Management Association as part of their local community development efforts — with the hope of creating a neighborhood full of flowers and greenery, and inspiring people to think about the environment every time they pick up a jar.
Maison Classic Salon (3rd Floor, Outside South Gate)

Takanawa Honey Baked Goods & Fresh Cheesecake Plate with Tea Set — ¥1,580 per set
Takanawa Honey is harvested each spring, summer, and autumn, and the flavor and color of the honey changes with the seasons and the flowers in bloom. This set lets visitors experience those seasonal variations through a plate of Takanawa honey sweets paired with tea.
Set contents: Honey madeleine, fromage blanc fresh cheesecake, two types of scones, one teaspoon each of Takanawa honey (spring, summer, and autumn), domestic rhubarb confiture, and a choice of tea.
Maison Classic Cafe (2nd Floor, Inside South Gate)
