Takara Shuzo is launching a new limited-edition flavor of its popular Takara "Shochu Highball" canned drink — Tokyo Green Lemon — on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, available at stores nationwide while supplies last.
The new Tokyo Green Lemon variety uses "Ogasawara Island Lemon," a rare variety grown on Hahajima Island in the Ogasawara Islands of Tokyo and harvested while the peel is still green. The lemon is noted for its refreshing aroma and smooth acidity, and has long been enjoyed in certain traditional izakayas in the Ogasawara Islands and central Tokyo.

About Takara "Shochu Highball"
The Takara "Shochu Highball" brand traces its roots to the "shochu highball" that was born in the traditional working-class bars of downtown Tokyo in the late 1940s. The drink is known for its dry, crisp flavor driven by strong carbonation, and appeals to fans of Takara Shochu's signature full-bodied character. In addition to its bold taste, the lineup boasts zero sugar*, zero purine**, and zero artificial sweeteners***, making it popular among health-conscious drinkers.
The brand reached its 20th anniversary on March 7, 2026.
