"B.B.S. Event Dining," located on the basement level of Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay in Nanko, Osaka, is hosting "THE GHOST LOUNGE," a new-style live show that fuses video with kaidan storytelling, on Friday, September 11 and Friday, September 25, 2026.
For this production, the background video itself changes in step with the storyteller's narration. Drawing on B.B.S. Event Dining's large-scale video equipment, the show extends the atmosphere of each ghost story across the entire space through visuals and sound.
It is also the first time the storytellers themselves have combined narration with large-scale video staging in this way.
The goal is not simply a scare-for-scare's-sake experience. In the reassuring, refined setting of a hotel, drink in hand, guests can savor the storytellers' voices, pauses, and words at their own pace and sink deeper into the world of each story.

On September 11 (Friday), occult kaidan writer Kudamatsu Hiroshi and Ueda Koji, resident storyteller and actor at Kaidan Live Bar Thriller Night in Dotonbori, will appear. On September 25 (Friday), Ueda Koji returns alongside Kondo Yoshitaka, a storyteller who has worked as a biohazard cleanup specialist and speaks from real cleanup sites.
Rather than simply "listening to scary stories," getting to know the personality and appeal of each storyteller, and finding a favorite along the way, is another part of the experience "THE GHOST LOUNGE" aims to offer.
