Tokyo Disney Resort Celebrates Autumn 2026 with Disney Halloween and an Expanded Lazos de la Familia

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are holding the special event "Disney Halloween" from Wednesday, September 16 to Saturday, October 31, 2026. At Tokyo DisneySea, the special event "Lazos de la Familia," themed around the Disney and Pixar film Coco, also returns from September 16 through Monday, November 2, with an expanded area compared to last year.

At Tokyo Disneyland, the Disney Villains once again take over the parade "The Villains' Halloween 'Into the Frenzy,'" and the park is decorated for a villains' party throughout the season. New photo spots appear at the entrance and in Toontown, adding to the colorful Halloween atmosphere.

At Tokyo DisneySea, currently in the middle of its 25th anniversary event "Sparkling Jubilee," Mickey Mouse and friends dressed as pumpkins and sweets return to Mediterranean Harbor for "Disney Halloween Greeting." Duffy and friends also star in a new, heartwarming program called "Autumn Surprise!," themed around surprising each other for Halloween.

Both parks offer Halloween merchandise and menus, and at night, fireworks in a range of colors light up the sky for "Night High Halloween." Guests may also come dressed in full character costumes during two limited periods: September 15 to September 30, and October 16 to October 31.

At Lost River Delta in Tokyo DisneySea, "Lazos de la Familia" runs from September 16 to November 2 with an expanded area this year, featuring marigold flowers, skull decorations, lively live mariachi music, and a greeting with Miguel, along with special menus and merchandise.

Entertainment: "The Villains' Halloween 'Into the Frenzy'"

The Disney Villains once again bring the high-energy parade "The Villains' Halloween 'Into the Frenzy.'" At the front of the parade, Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog appears with a troupe of eerily grinning dancers, inviting guests into a bewitching Halloween party.

When the parade comes to a stop, the party begins. Mickey Mouse and friends, invited by the villains, dance along with guests to upbeat music. As the energy builds to its peak, bursts of fire and smoke erupt from the floats for a powerful finale.

The Mickey-shaped flower bed at the entrance takes on a Halloween look, and a giant pumpkin photo spot returns to World Bazaar's Main Street. Around Cinderella Castle, decorations depict villain-themed ghosts enjoying Halloween, along with Mickey and Minnie dressed for "The Villains' Halloween 'Into the Frenzy.'" Toontown is decorated with playful pumpkins and ghosts, and a new photo spot joins the lineup this year.

Attraction: Haunted Mansion "Holiday Nightmare"

From September 15, 2026 to Thursday, January 7, 2027, the "Haunted Mansion" in Fantasyland switches its show content for the special program "Haunted Mansion 'Holiday Nightmare,'" themed around Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

At Mediterranean Harbor, Mickey Mouse and friends dressed as pumpkins and sweets arrive aboard a boat decorated with a giant pumpkin to greet guests for "Disney Halloween Greeting." Guests can join in a trick-or-treat-themed dance for a bright, lively Halloween.

Decorations

Amid the festive atmosphere of the ongoing 25th anniversary event "Sparkling Jubilee," Halloween decorations welcome guests throughout the park. New pumpkin decorations appear at the entrance, and Mickey and Minnie murals dressed in outfits fitting the romantic mood of Palazzo Canal return for another year. In the New York area of American Waterfront, a stack of Halloween-style pumpkins decorates the scene.

Special Merchandise and Menus (Both Parks)

Starting September 15, merchandise goes on sale featuring pajama-clad Mickey Mouse and friends drawn wandering into an eerie park after being lured in by ghostly music, as well as items depicting the shy "Kowagari Obake-chan" ghost snuggled up with "Kabo Lantern," a character who emerges from a pumpkin lantern. Tokyo Disneyland also sells scrunchies and other goods themed around the Disney Villains featured in "The Villains' Halloween 'Into the Frenzy.'"

Starting September 15, a range of special menu items also arrives, including dishes themed around the Disney Villains. At Tokyo Disneyland's Refreshment Corner, a purple hot dog captures the eerie mood of Halloween, while Sweetheart Cafe offers a hearty special sandwich, alongside other easy-to-eat items for exploring the park. At Tokyo DisneySea's Lookout Cook-Out, a Halloween-themed snack box makes its debut. Both parks also bring back special drinks themed around Ursula from The Little Mermaid and Captain Hook from Peter Pan, plus Halloween-only maple pumpkin churros at several locations.

From September 15 to September 30, and again from October 16 to October 31, guests may enter Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea in full character costumes. Full costumes are not permitted from October 1 to October 15.

At Lost River Delta in Tokyo DisneySea, "Lazos de la Familia," themed around the Disney and Pixar film Coco, runs from September 16 to November 2. This year's expanded area offers an even richer experience inspired by the film.

A cheerful family carrying on the Mexican tradition of mariachi music performs the atmosphere entertainment "Mariachi Lazos de la Familia" with lively music and colorful dance in various locations. Miguel also appears for character greetings, dressed for the Land of the Living during the day and the Land of the Dead in the afternoon.

Special Menu and Merchandise

Miguel's El Dorado Cantina introduces a new spicy Tortilla Cheese Dog made with tortillas, while Yucatan Base Camp Grill again offers Pan de Muerto (with Orange), a bread infused with refreshing orange peel. Merchandise themed around Coco is also available at locations in both parks, including inside Miguel's El Dorado Cantina.

Duffy & Friends Program: "Autumn Surprise!"

From Tuesday, August 25 to Sunday, November 1, Tokyo DisneySea presents a limited-time Duffy & Friends program called "Autumn Surprise!," themed around surprising each other for Halloween. Gelatoni paints an autumn sunset sky with sparkling paint, Stella Lou performs a dance transforming into an autumn flower, and CookieAnn makes a fizzy "surprise candy." When Duffy accidentally drops a box filled with fallen leaves and origami, the colorful contents burst out and fill the room with autumn. Special merchandise and food souvenirs bring to life this charming, surprise-filled story set in Cape Cod on a pleasant autumn breeze.

Starting September 30, Tokyo Disneyland debuts a new stage show centered on live vocal performances by the super vocal and dance group "The D-Groovationz4."

From September 15 to October 31, restaurants at the Disney Ambassador Hotel, Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta, and Tokyo Disneyland Hotel serve special "Disney Halloween"-themed menus featuring autumn ingredients that capture the event's eerie yet fun atmosphere. Some menu items at the Disney Ambassador Hotel come with an original charm or coaster while supplies last.

Additionally, from August 25 to November 1, Silk Road Garden (Chinese cuisine) at Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta serves a special menu themed around the Duffy & Friends program "Autumn Surprise!"

The Disney Resort Line sells "Disney Halloween"-design free-ride tickets from vending machines at each station, along with an original-design souvenir medal. Both go on sale starting September 15 and may sell out before the event ends, depending on availability.

Ikspiari, the shopping complex in front of Maihama Station, also welcomes autumn with its own Halloween-themed decorations. At Cinema Ikspiari, Disney films including Coco return to the big screen for a limited-time revival screening.
