Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo Announces "Dark Arts Halloween," Its First-Ever Halloween Event

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter, where visitors can step into the magical world of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts film series, is holding its first Halloween special event since opening: "Dark Arts Halloween."

The event centers on the dark world Harry risked his life to face in the Harry Potter films — the realm of the Dark Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters who swore loyalty to him, practitioners of the "Dark Arts." For the special event, the studio tour itself will be transformed: overrun by Death Eaters and swirling with dark magic, it becomes a dangerous, unfamiliar world.

The Great Hall Transforms

The Great Hall, one of the tour's most iconic sets, takes on an eerie, fantastical atmosphere. As in a scene from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, jack-o'-lanterns float through the air above tables lined with sweets, heightening the Halloween mood.

Death Eaters, Dementors, and a Castle Under Siege

Throughout the venue, the Dark Mark — the sinister symbol of Voldemort's followers — appears in various spots, and Death Eaters roam the grounds. Amid the tense atmosphere, Dementors make an appearance in the Forbidden Forest, while the Ministry of Magic appears to have been seized by Death Eaters. The large-scale Hogwarts Castle model, which has previously featured elaborate projection-mapping displays tailored to each season's theme, takes on an unsettling new look, depicting a world haunted by drifting Dementors. The limited-time event lets visitors experience, with thrilling immersion, the dark world Harry Potter once had to face.

During the event, limited-edition food themed around the world of the Dark Arts will also be available.
