Toyonaka City has started accepting proposals for programs that make use of its cultural property facilities. The aim is to give residents more chances to experience the appeal of cultural properties and to take part from the planning stage. For proposals that are selected, the city will handle roles such as securing the venue and publicity to help each program take place.
With community groups and the city working together, the project hopes to bring a range of freely conceived programs to life, turning cultural properties into places to "use, gather, and connect" and encouraging their use as familiar, open community resources.
