Urbannet Sapporo Link Tower, a new office, hotel, and retail complex in Sapporo, Hokkaido, completed construction on June 30, 2026. NTT Urban Development Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Kou Ikeda), which developed the property, has set the tower's grand opening date for Saturday, October 3, 2026. Hyatt Centric Sapporo, the hotel occupying the tower's upper floors, will also open that same day.
As the first phase of festivities, an opening event will be held on October 3 (Saturday) and 4 (Sunday), featuring a marché that brings together shops showcasing Hokkaido's diverse ingredients, along with live music from artists with ties to Hokkaido. The tower is a mixed-use complex combining offices, a hotel, retail stores, and a startup-support facility. In addition to the three stores that opened on September 1, six more stores will open at the grand opening, offering menus distinctive to Sapporo and Hokkaido to meet a wide range of needs. Together with the startup-support facility HooK, which opened in advance on July 15, and the tower's office space, the complex aims to bring office workers, tourists, and local residents together, becoming a new hub for business, travel, and community life in Sapporo, and contributing to the continued growth of Sapporo and Hokkaido.
Hyatt Centric Sapporo Opens
Hyatt Centric Sapporo, on the tower's upper floors, is now accepting reservations for stays from its opening date onward, as well as reservations for the hotel's in-house restaurant, Matsu Grill & Bar. A Marché Celebrating Hokkaido's Rich Everyday Life
To mark this season of abundance, as autumn deepens and everyday pleasures grow richer, the tower will host a marché bringing together shops from across Hokkaido that sell food, accessories, flowers, and other goods made with Hokkaido ingredients and materials, creating new encounters between people and goods, and between people themselves. A hands-on craft workshop will also be held, so visitors of all ages can enjoy the charms of Hokkaido.
Live Music From Artists With Ties to Hokkaido
Two artists with ties to Hokkaido will perform gentle, calming music in the atrium space on the first floor of the North wing. Enjoy a live performance that resonates in a relaxed, easygoing setting.
Grand Opening Flower Giveaway
Starting September 21 (Monday), a tabloid flyer will be distributed around the city. Visitors who bring the flyer to the indoor plaza on the first floor of the North wing after 11:00 AM on the opening day, October 3 (Saturday), will receive a gerbera flower as a grand-opening gift, for the first 300 people. Be sure to bring the flyer along.

Marché Vendors
ARTESTAND (Ethical Sweets)
A vegan and plant-based ethical sweets shop near Nishi-28-Chome Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tozai Line. Through scones and muffins made with Hokkaido ingredients, the shop delivers Hokkaido flavors that are gentle on both body and mind.
atelier polura (Glass Accessories)
Freehand designs are etched into fused glass. Simple lines reminiscent of crayon drawings add a soft warmth to the glass, making accessories that pair easily with any season or outfit.
HIROKA JAM (Jam)
A small jam shop in Naganuma Town. Its jams are made with berries grown at the nearby George Farm, along with carefully selected produce shared by farmer friends across Japan, capturing each season's fruit, one by one, inside every jar.
KASANE (Leather Goods)
A leather goods brand from Ebetsu City. Using carefully selected, high-quality leather, artisans craft wallets, business card holders, key cases, and bags by hand. The shop offers a wide range of leather types and colors, and also accepts custom orders.
petit bijou (Candles)
A candle artist based in Kushiro City, offering aroma candles scented with essential oils, gel candles that grow more beautiful when lit, and soy candles with air-purifying qualities. Enjoy a gently spreading fragrance and soft glow.
pomme.de.pin (Dried Flowers)
Fresh flowers are carefully dried into simple arrangements that bring out each bloom's natural beauty. Early October is a beautiful time for autumn-toned purple hydrangeas, and the shop's shelves will be filled with deep, seasonal colors.
THE DAY (Baked Goods)
A takeout-only baked goods shop in Kitahiroshima City. Using Hokkaido-grown flour and butter as a base, each treat is baked one at a time with seasonal fruits, vegetables, nuts, and spices.
YoshizBox (Wooden Tableware and Sundries)
Handcrafted wooden tableware and sundries, including wooden bowls, cutlery, and cutting boards. The carved textures, reminiscent of fish scales and impossible to replicate by machine, add a warm charm, and every piece is designed to be easy to use and priced for everyday life.
Iburi Kogeisha (Traditional Instrument Workshop)
Working from a studio in Shiraoi Town, a five-minute walk from Upopoy (the National Ainu Museum and Park), a national center dedicated to reviving and creating Ainu culture, this workshop produces crafts and other products. At the marché, visitors can try making a mukkuri, a traditional Ainu instrument that's easy for anyone to create, in a hands-on workshop. Families with children are very welcome.
Tsukuppe Kousaku (Craft Workshop)
A craft workshop run by an instructor who has taught arts and crafts classes for young children mainly in Sapporo since 2015. Visitors can freely enjoy "making and playing" while working with a variety of materials and colors, from wood scraps and paper to cork.
Hikari to Kusa (Bonsai and Planting Workshop)
Based in Sapporo, this shop shares the charm of small bonsai, offering the pleasure of growing and shaping plants while feeling the changing seasons within a small pot. At this event, workshops are planned for a mini bilberry bonsai and a mixed planting featuring shimatonerico.
Miyanomori Coffee (This Property's Tenant, North 2F)
Using its own roasting method and a made-to-order approach, the shop's in-house roastery finishes high-quality coffee beans to deliver fresh coffee.

Performers
Shingo Watanabe
Vocalist of the Sapporo-based rock band THE BOYS&GIRLS. He grew up in Nakashibetsu Town until graduating high school, then moved to Sapporo right after graduation, and made his major-label debut with the band in 2015. Watanabe performs at events including JOIN ALIVE and FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, playing close to 100 live shows a year, and held a solo show marking the band's 15th anniversary in March 2026.
Tsuyoshi Nariyama
Vocalist and guitarist of a Sapporo-based three-piece band, originally from Nemuro City, Hokkaido. In 1998, he and his classmates from a Sapporo music school formed sleepy.ab upon graduation, making music built around the concept of sound to listen to before sleep, and music that helps listeners drift off gently and comfortably. The band has also performed at major festivals including FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, SUMMER SONIC, and ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL.
