VOLCOM Hosts Special Waruagaki Customization Session with Artist Karasu at the Shonan Open

"In the end, I just want to make something cool."

As Karasu puts it, the origin of his work is simple.

VOLCOM has stayed true to its own sense of style since it was founded, and part of that same philosophy is holding onto pieces you love and wearing them for years to come.

Waruagaki, the original painting and printing technique Karasu created, reflects an attitude of engaging with each garment one piece at a time. Staying true to the expression he believes in, working on each piece by hand, and creating new value along the way — that unwavering drive is what overlaps with VOLCOM's own philosophy, True To This.

This weekend, on July 19 and 20, VOLCOM is holding a special session at the Shonan Open where visitors can experience Waruagaki firsthand with Karasu himself. Bring along a favorite piece that got stained, or one you'd like to customize to make it more your own.
