Winnie the Pooh 100th Anniversary Songbook Arrives October 14 With New Song "Happier With You"

The Winnie the Pooh Original Debut 100th Anniversary Songbook (Limited Production Edition) goes on sale on October 14, 2026 (Wednesday), the anniversary of the original's debut. Universal Music is releasing the CD to celebrate 100 years since Winnie the Pooh first appeared.

The children's novel Winnie the Pooh, written by A.A. Milne and illustrated by E.H. Shepard, was published in 1926. The stories of Pooh and his friends have been loved around the world across eras and generations, and they reach their 100th anniversary in 2026. The songbook gathers the music of Winnie the Pooh in one release.

What's on the Songbook

The CD includes "Happier With You", a new song for the 100th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh's original debut, making its first appearance on a release. It also features the signature song "Winnie the Pooh" and classic numbers such as "雨、雨、降れ、降れ" and "ズオウとヒイタチ".

Songs from related works are included as well, among them Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin, Piglet's Big Movie, The Tigger Movie, and the TV series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. A ukulele version and a music box version of "Winnie the Pooh" are also on the disc, and the booklet carries lyrics with translations.

The New Song "Happier With You"

"Happier With You" was created to match the theme of Disney Store's Winnie the Pooh 100th anniversary promotion. Its soothing melody and voice carry a warm message that things are happier when you are together, making it a cheerful and positive song in true Pooh style. At Disney Stores nationwide, the song is scheduled to play as one of the in-store background music tracks.

Package Design and Bonuses

The package is a tall-size digipak that takes its image from the book, where Winnie the Pooh began. It uses a double-jacket design, with Disney-animated Winnie the Pooh on one side and "Classic Pooh", drawn from the original artwork, on the other.

First-come purchasers receive a bonus item using the package design, either an acrylic key charm or a can badge depending on where they buy (see the product details below).

Die-Cut 10-Inch Record

For the 100th anniversary, a unique die-cut 10-inch record shaped like Winnie the Pooh holding a honey pot is also on sale. Side A has the familiar theme song "Winnie the Pooh", and Side B has the playful, popular "Heffalumps and Woozles".
