Rainy Season Glamping with Aroma Candle Making and Hot Springs at Wood Design Park Yoi in Hyogo

Wood Design Park Yoi, an outdoor facility with an attached hot spring in Shiso City, Hyogo Prefecture, is offering a rainy season limited stay plan from May 18 to June 30, 2026.

The plan is designed around turning the rainy season — a time that often leads people to cancel outdoor plans — into an opportunity to enjoy sound, light, and scent in a natural forest setting.

A similar plan was well received last year, with visitors noting the soothing quality of the rain sounds and the calming atmosphere of a quiet stay. This year's version expands the candle design options and fragrance lineup, offering more ways to personalize the experience.

Aroma candle making experience

Three Special Perks

Campfire Chocolate Fondue

With the sound of rain as a backdrop, guests can enjoy chocolate fondue warmed over a campfire — an outdoor dessert experience where the warmth of the fire and the sweetness of melted chocolate make for a cozy rainy evening.

Aroma Candle Making

Guests can create their own original candle by choosing and combining scents from a selection of over 10 aromas, including tea tree and lavender. Making and lighting the candle yourself transforms a simple glow into something personal. The finished candle can be taken home, allowing guests to carry a bit of the forest atmosphere back with them.

Late Checkout (until 12:00 PM)

The standard 11:00 AM checkout is extended to 12:00 PM, giving guests time to sleep in a little and enjoy a relaxed morning.

Hot Spring on the Same Grounds

Wood Design Park Yoi shares its grounds with Shiso Yoi Onsen, where guests can bathe as many times as they like during their stay. Warming up in the hot spring after stepping out in the rain is one of the pleasures that makes a rainy season visit here distinct from a fair-weather trip. Combined with outdoor activities, it makes for what could be called a restorative rainy season getaway.

About Wood Design Park Yoi

Wood Design Park Yoi in early summer

Set in a private, tree-surrounded space, the facility offers glamping tents and private cottages. In early summer, when the new greenery is at its most vibrant, the outdoor spaces are particularly pleasant for BBQs, walks, and outdoor play. The forest scenery, campfires, starry skies, and hot springs are all presented as part of a connected stay experience.
