This year's Valentine's lineup features two distinct chocolate genres for customers to choose from.
The hotel's pastry chefs carefully handcraft Valentine's chocolates with heartfelt dedication each year. This year, Pastry Chef Reito Tanaka presents an assortment of six flavors featuring fruit-shaped forms filled with fruit puree.
At Szechwan Restaurant Chen, Chef de Cuisine Shinobu Sekine offers a box containing three Sichuan-spiced chocolate flavors. Enjoy the exquisite combination of Sichuan essences like chili peppers and green Sichuan pepper with chocolate.
These chocolates are perfect as Valentine's gifts or as a special treat for yourself.

Pastry Chef
Reito Tanaka
Inspired by the work of pastry chefs he saw on television during his student years, Tanaka pursued the path of confectionery. After learning the fundamentals at a Japanese and Western confectionery shop, he traveled to France to experience French culture.
Upon returning to Japan, he honed his skills at Grand Hyatt Tokyo and served as Chef Pâtissier at Andaz Tokyo starting in 2017. He joined Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu in March 2024 and was appointed Pastry Chef.

Szechwan Restaurant Chen Chef de Cuisine
Shinobu Sekine
Joined Akasaka Shisen Hanten in 1997, where he received training under Chen Kenichi.
Worked at Szechwan Restaurant Chen Nagoya, and served as Sous Chef at the Shibuya location in 2017 before being appointed Chef de Cuisine at Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu's Chinese Restaurant "Szechwan Restaurant Chen" in 2021.
He uses seasonal ingredients to preserve fine traditions while carefully delivering new-style Chinese cuisine dish by dish. With "gratitude" as his foundation, he strives to create dishes that bring smiles through food.
