Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is set to open a new area called "OTO-RACTION PARK" on August 1, 2026 (Saturday), as part of a renovation of a section of the existing "Pleasure Land" attraction area. The new zone brings together rides, AI technology, and music for a fresh entertainment experience by the sea.
Attractions × AI × Music Fused at the Waterfront
Pleasure Land is already home to Japan's only roller coaster that runs over the sea, the "Surf Coaster Leviathan," along with the cruise vessel "Paradise Cruise II" that circles Hakkeijima, which debuted in the summer of 2025. The area covers a wide range of ride types, from thrilling to relaxed.
The new OTO-RACTION PARK will feature two new attractions on opening day—SONIC TUNE! and ROCKY EAGLE—with a third, Sound Wave, scheduled to open within the same area in autumn 2026.
OTO-RACTION PARK is themed around three types of movement: "SONIC TUNE! (swinging/tilting)," "ROCKY EAGLE (height)," and "Sound Wave (spinning)." Each ride is equipped with its own sound system, and AI selects music in POPS, EDM, or ROCK styles to create a festival-like atmosphere across the whole area.
At each attraction, guests can scan a QR code and enter their current mood. The AI combines that input with real-time information such as weather and time of day, then selects a song to match the moment. The result pairs curated sound with the ride's thrills and the feeling of being at the seaside.
SONIC TUNE! — EDM Beats and Dynamic Motion
SONIC TUNE! is a disc-type ride that rotates while moving up and down in large arcs. Positioned at the center of OTO-RACTION PARK, it is equipped with lighting along its rails and a sound system that sets the tone for the entire area.
Riders experience centrifugal force, tilting, and swinging movements to the beat of AI-selected EDM tracks. The combination of sound, lights, and ocean views creates an immersive sensory experience.

ROCKY EAGLE — Soaring to 10m with ROCK Music
ROCKY EAGLE is a renamed version of the existing "Flight Eagle" attraction, launching under its new name alongside OTO-RACTION PARK on August 1, 2026.
The eagle-shaped ride ascends to 10 meters while AI-curated ROCK-style music plays, giving riders the sensation of soaring through the sky. At the top, the eagle gondola rotates 360 degrees, offering panoramic views of the sea and the OTO-RACTION PARK area below.

Sound Wave, coming to OTO-RACTION PARK in autumn 2026, is a spinning attraction paired with AI-selected POPS music. The name combines "Sound," reflecting the area's musical identity, with "Wave," a nod to the park's seaside location. Riders board a tilted rotating raft and enjoy a sensation described as riding waves of music. The opening date will be announced at a later date.

Ticket prices at Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise will also be updated on August 1, 2026, coinciding with the opening of OTO-RACTION PARK.
