From November to February, Yokohama's waterfront district will come alive with THE YOKOHAMA ILLUMINATION campaign, connecting over 40 illumination events across tourist attractions, commercial facilities, and shopping streets throughout the city. The campaign includes interactive activities such as a digital stamp rally and an illumination photo contest.
Experience the special charm of Yokohama, one of Japan's newly designated Top Three Night View Cities, where beautiful nightscapes are enhanced by brilliant illuminations this winter.
Starting in November, Yokohama Station's west side will feature "Yokohama Illuminas Square," while "Yokohama Milight" will connect Yokohama Station to the Minato Mirai area. The Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will host its "Christmas Market," and Isezaki Mall will shine with "Isezaki★Light."
In December, Yamashita Park's "Winter Wonder Park Yokohama 2025-26" and the spectacular light and music show "YORUNOYO 2025" (Light of Yokohama Appearing at Night) will begin, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the Christmas season. From January, the "Yokohama Spring Festival 2026" will extend the winter celebrations into the new year.

About Japan's New Top Three Night View Cities
Japan's New Top Three Night View Cities is a night view brand established in October 2015 by the Night View Tourism Convention Bureau, the only organization in Japan dedicated to night view tourism. The designation is based on votes by certified Night View Tourism Specialists nationwide, with the top three cities recognized as Japan's New Top Three Night View Cities. Yokohama was designated for the first time in the Tokyo metropolitan area during the 2024 revision.
Selection Reason for Yokohama
(Comment from the Night View Tourism Convention Bureau)
"In recent years, the waterfront area has been expanding with night events such as 'YORUNOYO' and 'Yokohama Sparkling Twilight,' becoming models for other cities. Not only the charm of the night view itself, but also a wide variety of content utilizing these resources provides great satisfaction to many Night View Tourism Specialists. The evolving dynamism of the night view as the city transforms, and new attractions being added as a foundation of the city, were highly evaluated."
