Yokohama Sky Building's "Dinosaur Park" Brings Moving Dinosaur Robots and Fossil Digs This Summer

Yokohama Sky Building is hosting "Sky Building Dinosaur Park" from Friday, July 17 through Sunday, August 23, 2026.

The event features an impressive lineup of dinosaur robots that move as if they were alive, a photo spot where visitors can poke their heads out of a Tyrannosaurus's mouth, a real fossil dig experience, and more. One of the hands-on activities, "Make Your Own Original Dinosaur Trading Card," turns a dinosaur drawn by the visitor into a trading card, which can then be traded with friends and family.

The event is also a checkpoint for "Minato Mirai Dinosaur Rally," a stamp rally taking place across Yokohama's Minato Mirai area during the same period, making it easy to enjoy a full summer of dinosaur experiences.

  • To reach the 10th and 11th floors, enter through the B2 entrance and take the elevator on the right.
  • Elevators begin stopping at the 10th and 11th floors from 9:55 AM.
  • For the "Touchable Dinosaur Exhibition," numbered tickets may be distributed depending on how crowded it gets.
  • For the other hands-on experiences, same-day numbered tickets are distributed from 10:00 AM at the 10F Central Plaza.
  • Numbered tickets for each experience are distributed while supplies last.
  • Without a numbered ticket, participation may not be possible.

Moving Dinosaur Robots

Dinosaur robots that move as if they were alive will be on display, including a parent-and-baby pair of Tyrannosaurus. The 10th floor also serves as a checkpoint for the "Minato Mirai Dinosaur Rally."

Dinosaur Photo Spots

Photo spots let visitors poke their heads out of a Tyrannosaurus's mouth or climb into a dinosaur egg for a picture.

Visitors can dig for real minerals, gemstones, and fossils using a dig kit.

"Exciting Dinosaur Painting"

Visitors can paint a plain white ceramic dinosaur figure to create their own original piece. A free "dinosaur coloring" activity is also available.

Visitors draw their own dinosaur, which is then turned into an original dinosaur trading card using AI. Each session produces 3 cards, so participants can trade them on the spot or take them home to share with family.

About the "Minato Mirai Dinosaur Rally"

"Minato Mirai Dinosaur Rally" is a summer-only event where visitors travel between facilities across Yokohama's Minato Mirai area to encounter dinosaurs. Participating locations display large moving dinosaurs and offer a stamp rally, limited-edition food, dinosaur merchandise, and other content for the whole family to enjoy.

For the first time in nine years, Pacifico Yokohama is also hosting "Yokohama Dinosaur Expo 2026" during the same period, turning the entire Minato Mirai area into a dinosaur-themed destination this summer.
