YOKOHAMA URBAN SPORTS FESTIVAL (YUSF for short), first held in 2022, is returning to the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse for two days on October 17 (Saturday) and 18 (Sunday), 2026.
The festival brings together urban sports competitions and the street culture that gave rise to them, packed with elements to watch, experience, and enjoy. Last year's edition drew around 70,000 visitors.
Now in its fifth year, the festival features athletes active in Japan and abroad across eight disciplines: skateboarding, breaking, BMX flatland, double dutch, parkour, Paruoni, 3x3, and freestyle football. This year's breaking competition will also host JAPAN OPEN 2026, organized by the Japan Dance Sport Federation, bringing together dancers from across the country for a high-level battle.
The two days also include hands-on sessions where visitors of all ages can try urban sports, a street culture market with apparel and experience booths, and the co-located American food event ALL AMERICAN FOOD FESTIVAL ’26.

Co-Located Event: ALL AMERICAN FOOD FESTIVAL ’26
ALL AMERICAN FOOD FESTIVAL ’26 (AAFF ’26 for short) is a food event at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse bringing together American cuisine. Food trucks will serve American food and drinks — reflecting a country that gave rise to many urban sports — letting visitors experience street culture through food alongside the urban sports action. It's a chance to enjoy an autumn of food and sports with family and friends.

Skateboarding
Skateboarding spans many styles, from park to vert. YUSF features "street," in which competitors perform tricks on a course lined with obstacles like stairs and rails found in everyday cityscapes. It's a discipline to watch, with Japanese athletes continuing to make strides at the world's top level — this year again brings a competition with prize money on the line.

Breaking
Breaking grew out of hip-hop culture, with dancers competing on musicality, originality, and skill. Skilled B-boys and B-girls from across Japan will gather for the event, and this year's JAPAN OPEN 2026, hosted by the Japan Dance Sport Federation (JDSF Breaking), will bring high-level battles to the stage.

BMX Flatland
BMX flatland involves riders maneuvering their bikes on a flat stage without ramps or other structures. Its intricate bike control has earned it comparisons to "dancing on a bicycle." YUSF will welcome top male and female riders active in Japan and abroad, including athletes with international competition titles, with elegant performances on stage not to be missed.

Double Dutch
Double dutch is a street-born sport in which competitors jump rope using two ropes while incorporating acrobatics and dance. Born in New York, the culture has since grown to the point where top-level contests are now held around the world. Highlights include fast footwork and dynamic acrobatics executed with closely synchronized timing. YUSF will hold a battle-format competition, again bringing its energetic movement to the stage.

Parkour
Parkour builds on the basic movements of running, jumping, and climbing, with athletes vaulting off walls and other structures and rolling to break their fall. Its biggest appeal is thrilling, dynamic action as athletes navigate their environment using only their bodies. YUSF offers a chance to watch top athletes' performances up close.

Paruoni
Paruoni is a tag sport built on the familiar game of tag (oni-gokko), with parkour elements added to turn it into a competition, commonly known as "Paruoni." Anyone can enjoy it intuitively, regardless of technical skill. Athletes race full-speed through the course in dynamic fashion, and the resulting action can instantly captivate onlookers.

Freestyle Football
Freestyle football takes soccer skills like juggling and dribbling and elevates them into an art form. Many Japanese athletes currently compete at the world's top level, making this a discipline to watch for high-level competition. YUSF will host intense 1-on-1 battles where players' skill and style collide.

3x3
3x3 is official three-on-three basketball with roots in street basketball. Played on a half court with a 12-second shot clock, its biggest feature is a fast, dynamic pace. Skilled players active in Japan and abroad will gather to showcase powerful play up close, with competition unfolding in an urban atmosphere set to a DJ's music.
