Known for his accomplished songwriting and vocal work that skillfully conveys his own world across both original songs and covers, Yuji Nakada has earned strong support from within and beyond the music industry.
Returning for the first time in around two years, this tour visits Konica Minolta Planetarium "TENKU" in Tokyo and the Dome Theater at Bando Kobe Youth Science Museum in Kobe.
Backing him is a duo who could be called old friends of his planetarium shows: Udai Shike (cello) and sugarbeans (keyboard). Together they'll deliver a special setlist arranged for the planetarium format.
What Is "LIVE in the DARK"?
"LIVE in the DARK" is a one-of-a-kind music event where the extraordinary space created by a planetarium resonates with live performance.
In an overwhelming darkness where even the outline of an outstretched hand can't be seen, dignified stars shine, and the senses grow quietly sharper within it. Gradually, the boundaries between the darkness, the stars, the music, and even oneself begin to blur, creating a deep sense of immersion.
Becoming one with the space itself, it's the ultimate music experience, one that focuses entirely on the music. Don't miss this special moment of "touching sound" that can only be found at "LIVE in the DARK."

Note: This event is designed to let audiences enjoy "music" to the fullest inside the unique environment of a planetarium. Because of staging considerations, or the layout of the planetarium equipment and seating, the artists' appearance and performance may be difficult (or impossible) to see at times. Please purchase tickets with an understanding of the event's concept.

About Yuji Nakada
Born in 1981 in Kumamoto Prefecture, Yuji Nakada began his music career in 2000 as frontman and songwriter for every song in the rock band Tsubakiya String Quartet. He gained popularity for songs like "Ajisai," "Koiwazurai," and "Ibara no Michi," known for a scale and character that went beyond typical rock band boundaries.
After the band disbanded in 2011, he launched his solo career. He has stayed active with a steady stream of original releases and nationwide tours, a solo acoustic tour called "Yuji Nakada no Utau Roman Kaido" where he decides the setlist on the spot from a wide repertoire of originals and covers, the release of the cover album "SONG COMPOSITE," and writing and producing songs for other artists.
His rich, polished voice is backed by solid vocal skill, and his songwriting draws on the melodic sensibility of 70s-80s Japanese pop and new music that shaped him in childhood, combined with a genre-spanning sound and lyrics themed around everyday scenes and the subtleties of life, earning him support across a wide range of listeners.
