Miyakojima Triathlon - Experience Nature in Okinawa Through Triathlon

The All-Japan Triathlon Miyakojima, held annually in April in Miyakojima City, Okinawa Prefecture, is one of Japan's premier long-distance triathlons, affectionately known as "Strongman."

Since its inaugural event in 1985, athletes from Japan and around the world have challenged themselves on this grueling course consisting of a 3km swim in crystal-clear waters, approximately 120km bike ride traversing the Ikema Bridge and Cape Higashi-hennazaki, and a run to Miyakojima City Athletic Stadium.

Set against a spectacular backdrop of emerald green seas and blue skies, the race is colored by the island-wide enthusiastic support chants of "Waido!" The special triathlon experience awaits, from top athletes to citizen runners, as they push their limits while embraced by Miyakojima's magnificent nature and warm local hospitality.
