Niconico Chokaigi - User-Participatory Event by Video Community 'Niconico'

Niconico Chokaigi is Japan's largest user-participatory festival that brings all aspects of the video community "Niconico" into the real world. Since 2012, this spring tradition has been held annually at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, with the concept of "fusing the digital and real worlds." Beloved as an experiential event where visitors are not mere spectators but participants who sing, dance, and interact with one another.

The venue brings together various genres originating from Niconico, including Vocaloid, utaite (cover singers), odorite (dancers), VTubers, and game streaming. At the "Creator Cross" exhibition area where individual creators showcase their work, visitors can witness the creative process up close. Innovative performances like "Cho Kabuki," which fuses traditional performing arts with cutting-edge technology, are also symbolic attractions of this event.
