We had such a lovely time! We ordered the light dinner and enjoyed our time chatting and being entertained by the very kind Geishas. They danced, conversed, and played games.

The Highlight of my Japan Trip. So I booked this geisha venue and went all by myself, and I just want to say it was the best experience in my entire Japan trip! The geishas are incredible to watch and very friendly, so please remember to be respectful and kind to them in return! I had a wonderful experience, and they were very accommodating of my poor Japanese skills, providing a translator while also attempting to talk in both languages with me and correcting me when I make any major errors in my Japanese. Their performances were very quick as we only had an hour and a half together, but they were very elegant and masterful, each of the geishas moving with small precise movements- you can tell how hard they trained in the way they move, and even if you are unfamiliar with the pieces they perform, you can get a good sense of the storyline by watching them carefully! They also taught me two different games, the names of which I've already somewhat forgotten, but the first being a game where there is a cup between you both, and you have to place your hand flat on the cup- if the cup is removed by one of the players, you have to place your hand as a fist on the mat. The game speeds up as time goes on, making it harder. Despite the fact that I lost every time without fail (and had to drink green tea to celebrate my loss(it was very good green tea and they were accommodating for the fact that I do not drink)) this was my favorite of the two games! The second game was a form of rock paper scissors- grandma, samurai, tiger, where the two players would perform a small dance in the beginning with one of the geishas playing the shamisen before turning around and settling into poses that symbolize those 3 forms. This game was very fun also! The hostess who was also very gracious took pictures of me with the geishas as well, and afterwards they showed me how to handle the shamisen as I am a student studying music and I got quite excited when I was posing with it. The food they served was also very good and filling! I didn't know what half of it was, but they answered my questions about the food and all of it was very good! I never met the person who made the food, but it's absolutely worth the price tag given. All in all, the geishas and the hostess were incredible, wonderful people and that hour and a half were very fun! I would absolutely recommend this experience and would do it again if given the opportunity!
