The park is switching to a summer setup — mist, shade, and heat-reducing paint keep the grounds comfortable.
1. Summer-Only "Water Play Plaza" Opens July 19 (Sun)
This summer, ASAKUSA HANAYASHIKI is introducing the "Water Play Plaza," where visitors can enjoy getting soaked. The plaza features three types of water play content, and guests who purchase the dedicated ticket can enter and exit the area as many times as they like in a single day.
Note: The unlimited-rides pass cannot be used for this area.
2. Staying Cool with Heat-Reducing Paint: Stronger Heat Countermeasures for Attractions
Outdoor attractions are typically made of metal, which tends to retain heat. At ASAKUSA HANAYASHIKI, "heat-reducing paint" is applied to the surfaces that guests touch, helping to keep surface temperatures down. In addition to last year's application on the Pyon Pyon and Disk-O attractions, this year the paint has been extended to the seats of the Sky Ship and to the Shirasagi ride, creating a more comfortable environment for enjoying the attractions.
3. Mist and Shade Installed Throughout the Park for a Cool, Comfortable Visit
As a summer heat countermeasure, mist stations have been set up at the Carnival attraction and other spots throughout the park. Shade has also been installed along walkways and on the stairs leading to the roller coaster's queue, helping to ease the heat while moving around the park or waiting in line. A range of measures like these are in place so that guests can enjoy the park comfortably.

Because it's an amusement park, heat countermeasures become part of the fun — summer programs that chase away both ghosts and the heat.
1. Get Soaked If You Encounter Them: The "Water Squad," Twice a Day
The "Water Squad" appears somewhere in the park and splashes water on visitors to chase away the summer heat. If you spot them, you're in for a surprise experience that's sure to leave you soaked.
2. Ward Off Ghosts with Salt Candy!? "Salt Candy" Handouts Return This Year
After enjoying the haunted house, if you feel like a ghost might have followed you out, purify yourself with the salt candy handed out by staff.
Heat Countermeasures for Staff
Protecting staff health helps protect guest safety too — the park is improving working conditions to provide a safer service.
1. Rotating Shifts Reduce the Burden on Staff
To look after staff health and prevent long stretches of work in the hot outdoor environment, staff rotate between outdoor and indoor attractions.
2. Free Vending Machine Drinks and Salt Tablets
As a heatstroke countermeasure for outdoor staff, drinks — including some chosen through an internal survey of popular options — are provided free of charge. Regular health checks and the distribution of salt tablets are also part of the effort to create a safe working environment.
3. 1.5-Liter Water Bottles and Spot Coolers Support Staff Health Management
Providing 1.5-liter water bottles and installing spot coolers help improve conditions for staff working outdoors.
Extended Evening Hours: 9:00 PM Closing from August 1 (Sat) to August 23 (Sun)
ASAKUSA HANAYASHIKI, which normally closes at 6:00 PM, will stay open until 9:00 PM for a limited time. Enjoy a special evening at the park and experience the cool of a summer night, a different atmosphere from daytime.
