Awaji Island Cheese Factory Reopens at Aqua Ignis Awaji Island on August 3 With First Dinner Service and All-Ocean-View Seating

Awaji Island Cheese Factory, run by COME TRUE Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Awaji, Hyogo Prefecture; President Takahiro Fukuda), is relocating into the hot spring resort complex Aqua Ignis Awaji Island, with a grand opening on Monday, August 3, 2026.

The new location takes over the space vacated by the Italian restaurant "ペスケリア風波," which closes on July 20, 2026.

Using fresh milk delivered every morning by local dairy farmers, the shop crafts its housemade fresh cheese by hand without any preservatives, and now serves it in a dining room overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. As a base for spreading the appeal of Awaji Island's food culture, the new location aims to be loved by both local residents and visitors alike.

Three Highlights of the New Location

1. First-ever dinner service, with a view that shifts from day to night

The previous location, in the Ikuha area of Awaji City, served only lunch and cafe hours. Responding to many requests from customers who wanted to enjoy Awaji Island's ingredients and fresh cheese more leisurely in the evening, the new location will begin offering dinner service for the first time. Guests can spend a special evening taking in the open blue sea by day, a beautiful magic hour at dusk, and the quiet sound of waves after dark.

2. All-ocean-view seating, where sea and food come together

Every seat in the dining room offers a panoramic view of the sea. While looking out over the calm ocean, guests can enjoy freshly prepared dishes made with the shop's housemade fresh cheese, along with limited menu items built around Awaji Island's rich local ingredients.

3. A spacious terrace for dogs, plus a limited "Dog Lunch" menu

The open terrace seating welcomes guests together with their dogs. For dogs, the shop offers a special menu built on "Shima Dog Can," a completely additive-free, human-grade dog food from Awaji Island Canned Foods, paired with a luxurious unsalted mozzarella cheese. Guests can spend a special time with a beloved dog while feeling the sea breeze.

Background and Future Plans

Awaji Island Cheese Factory has continued making preservative-free, handmade fresh cheese from fresh milk delivered every morning, out of gratitude for Awaji Island's rich nature and its dairy farmers.

The shop's wish to share the appeal of Awaji Island's food culture more widely and more deeply aligned with the concept behind Aqua Ignis Awaji Island, leading to the consolidation and relocation of the main store as a grand opening. By adding dinner service, which the shop could not previously offer, along with a spectacular ocean-view setting, it aims to become a new food destination for visitors to Awaji Island, contributing to the local economy and tourism.

Comment from Representative Takahiro Fukuda

"We wanted more people to enjoy the deliciousness of fresh milk nurtured by Awaji Island's rich nature, in an even more special setting. That strong wish led us to take on this new challenge of relocating to Aqua Ignis Awaji Island and starting dinner service. We look forward to welcoming local residents and the many visitors who come to Awaji Island, with an experience that speaks to all five senses — the spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea right in front of you, the changing colors of the sky over time, and freshly made, rich cheese dishes you can find only here."
