"The Grand T-Shirt Exhibition 2026" opens July 4 (Sat) and runs through July 19 (Sun), 2026, at Space O on Omotesando Hills' Main Building B3F. Here's a look inside the venue as the exhibition gets underway.
Inside the venue, prominent figures from fashion, art, literature, science, and business each share a "one memorable T-shirt" from their own collection, accompanied by a short comment in their own words. Through the personal memories held within a single T-shirt, visitors can glimpse another side of what a T-shirt can mean.

Memorable T-shirts from musician and producer Hiroshi Fujiwara, manga artist Fujio Akatsuka, and others are on display
The exhibition also offers more than 1,000 rare vintage T-shirts selected by weber, all for sale, sorted into three categories: "Movie," "Art," and "Music." A special feature called the "T-Shirt Gallery" displays around 50 carefully selected T-shirts framed like fine art, letting visitors purchase a "piece" the way they might buy a painting (purchased items ship after the exhibition ends).

The "T-Shirt Gallery" displays 48 exquisite vintage T-shirts, each framed for display

Exploring the World of T-Shirts Through People, Objects, and Experiences
Far more than simple clothing, a T-shirt serves as a record of its era and culture, carrying the graphics and messages born from the music, film, art, and advertising of its time. Passed down alongside the memories and values of the person who wears it, even the wear and fading that come with age become part of its individuality, turning each shirt into a one-of-a-kind piece. Though T-shirts are something everyone knows well, people perceive them differently. This exhibition explores the depth, charm, and appeal of T-shirts through three perspectives: people, objects, and experiences.
Anyone hoping to claim a favorite piece shouldn't miss this opportunity.
